Work Experience

I have the privilege to say that I've had work experience with children since I was thirteen years old. It's difficult to work with children if you've had no experience what so ever. As a leader, overtime, you start to understand children as a whole and adapt to children's needs. It started off for me when I was younger, at first I would baby sit my younger cousins and my neighbours. This experience open my eyes to wanting to strive to educate children in every way possible. I became a volunteer for City of Toronto Parks and Recreation, working for three years with older staff and understanding what it is like to play an educator role. After the experience, I became certified to work as a full time summer camp counsellor for Toronto Parks and Recreation. I am eligible to work with children of all ages, with disabilities and with all ethnicities. Recently, I was eligible with my teaching ethics to run the afterschool program and assist other teachers at a private school in Etobicoke called KCS (Kingsway Collegiate). I have a huge heart for children and I enjoy my job, being able to teach new things when they come into camp and take that information when they go home or go back to school. Becoming a teacher has been my passion since I was a young child, and I am so thankful to have been given all these opportunities to work with all kinds of children and to construct different learning styles.
